Refresh, Revise, Reinforce Your GSA Contract

You will likely make several different types of changes to your GSA Contract during the 5 to 20-year period.  Your agreement with GSA is intended to be a living document, keeping up with changing times.

You will want to update the contract frequently in order to:

  • update pricing
  • add or remove products or services
  • update your company information
  • comply with regulations
  • take advantage of new opportunities

We tend to look at the modifications in three different ways:

  • Refresh
  • Revise
  • Reinforce

SAM.gov Fraud Alert

I have received a few calls and emails from a few clients about an email they received from the SAM Administrator at SAM.gov about potential fraud.  Some were concerned about whether this was real or some registration scam.

Price Reduction Clause Spells Troubles for a GSA Contractor

According to a report published in PC World yesterday, the large technology contractor CA was sued by the Department of Justice for failing to comply with the price reduction clause of its GSA Contract. According to DOJ, this violated the False Claims Act. CA has had a GSA Schedule contract since 2002 and last year sold $118,784,945 under its GSA IT Schedule 70 contract.

GSA Email Glitch about CCR Changes & GSA Contract Novations

GSA Contractors are receiving notices about recent changes to their CCR record that necessitates a novation.  These messages are in error and are a system glitch that GSA is aware of, so you can ignore if you received such an email and have not actually made any changes.
